The Orchard Cafe staff celebrated making the finals at the annual Garden Retail Awards 2009 at a awards dinner held at Grosvenor House, Park Lane in London.
Well done to the staff on a great achievment from such strong competition.


Congratulations go to a Mr T Carson who was picked from 14 correct entries of our "Guess how many cherries are in the jar". There were 37 cherries in the jar.
Mr Carson won a £20 Mayshade Gift Voucher, Well Done!!!

The Scottish Food Fortnight aims to encourage people to discover, buy and enjoy the food and drink on their doorstep, including businesses, restuarants and caterers which in turn would build Scotland's reputation for ecxellent quality food and drink.

SEASONAL FOOD
We try to plan our menus so that we utilise the seasonal fruit & vegetables available to us to the utmost. Over the next couple of months our menus will incorporate, potatoes, beetroot, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage,carrots, chicory, leeks and mushrooms. Our all year round vegetables consist of parsnip, turnip, butternut squash and sweet potato.
